Perplexity weights Research & Citations most heavily. Claude weights Authority most heavily. This is why the same site scores differently across platforms – by design.
Small site fairness:Sites with fewer than 50 pages get volume-based benchmarks scaled down proportionally so a 10-page startup isn't judged against a 500-page SaaS. Structure and quality benchmarks apply equally to all sites regardless of size.
Citation Snapshot
What AI says about you right now
Up to 12 real prompts sent to live AI engines. Mention rate = prompts where your brand appeared ÷ total prompts × 100. Competitor detection pulls named brands from answers and only surfaces competitors mentioned 2 or more times – capped at the top 10. Results are point-in-time: AI answers change, so each snapshot reflects that exact moment.

Chrome Extension
Live AEO audit in your browser
The Chrome Extension runs a client-side AEO audit on any page you're browsing – without running a full platform audit. It scores 5 modules: Answer Capsule quality, Schema coverage, Content freshness, Fan-out links, and AI bot access. It also checks whether llms.txt exists on the domain and whether AI bots are blocked in robots.txt.
Chrome only. Firefox and Safari not supported.
Honest Limits
What Citation Rocket does not do
We believe in being upfront.
- It does not track your Google rankings – use Semrush or Ahrefs for that.
- It does not monitor AI platforms on a real-time feed – it audits on demand and monitors on a schedule.
- The Citation Snapshot is not a permanent result – AI answers change; treat it as a point-in-time reading.
- Very large sites (thousands of pages) are sampled, not fully read – we scrape up to 15 pages.
- Sites that block all bots may return partial results – we try multiple fallback scrapers, but a fully locked site will yield less.
- The unbranded PDF removes Citation Rocket's branding – it does not add your own logo.
- The Developer API is listed as coming soon on Enterprise plans and is not yet available.
